PORTRAIT, FIGURE, and or RELIEF

A gestalt sculpture workshop to help get sculptors to the next level. Limited to 8 students.

Some students may wish to bring a project they wish to start or are already working on.

I will begin the workshop with a discussion about idea ’s, composition and about choosing the most effective sculptural strategy for each artist.

I’ve learned that small classes allow me to spend more time with each artist. If you wish to start a new project, please bring lots of photo ’s, and or sketches

This is the first of a series of possibly 6 workshops that I would like to do over the next two years. My wife Anne has encouraged me to do this for many years. For many reasons …..my studio is a perfect environment because. It has many years worth of examples from every stage of the sculptural process. I can demonstrate many techniques and methods that I can’t do in an offsite workshop.

Cost: $550.

We have several hotels in San Pedro, some within a few blocks!

We’re planning on having a few communal meals together. For those of you who are flying, there are two airports LAX and Long Beach. Long Beach is a bit less stressful.
